Want To See Your Nonprofit in The News?
Every week nonprofits are in the news for financial mismanagement. Even an honest mistake gets press coverage and small nonprofits are as much at risk as large ones. Avoid this by having your staff, volunteers and board attend this series!
Too often a nonprofit organization's lifespan is cut short by poor financial management This series is a fun but in-depth exploration of the major components of nonprofit financial management. Participants will use the components of the game of Monopoly to learn how to play to win their organization's financial health. The organization with the most Monopoly money at the end of the series will win a prize! Register for the full series at http://www.tano.org/en/cev/715 or for individual sessions below!

FREE Webinar: Starting a Nonprofit
Tuesday 12-Jan-10 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM CST
Nonprofit organizations are different than businesses and government; not better or worse, but different. These differences should not be glossed over as you explore whether the creation of a nonprofit is the best way to achieve the goals or purposes you seek to achieve. You should understand what it means to be a nonprofit and how that differs from being a for-profit before you start the paperwork process. Cost: FREE to all. Details and registration at http://www.tano.org/en/cev/952
Special TANO Presentation! Risk Management 101: Practical Ways to Manage Risk in a Changing World (Webinar)
Wednesday 20-Jan-10 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM CST
Ideally your risk management program creates an environment where your organization can take more risk, not less. In this session you will learn about basic risk management strategies and terms before moving on to discussions around real-life risk management challenges. Participants will learn to apply their knowledge in a practical way to address how an organization might deal with their risk every day. These strategies and exercises will help you walk away from the session with the tools to build and strengthen a sound risk management foundation for your organization that adapts to the everyday challenges of a changing world.
Cost: FREE to TANO members, $10 for Non-TANO Members Details and registration available at http://www.tano.org/en/cev/837 | |
